Alan Lukas is the founder of INCON, an electronic instrumentation company serving the power utility and tank monitoring markets. INCON started as a consulting / systems house and successfully migrated to a product-based manufacturer. The Company’s product line consisted of microprocessor-based instruments and specialty sensors. Sales grew to a maximum of $16M in 1998, and the business was sold in 2002.
Mr. Lukas was successful in securing several rounds of financing including: a small public offering, FAME guaranteed loan, convertible debt and a $5M venture capital round. As an entrepreneur, he has expertise in a number of areas including general management, sales and marketing, managing product development, and financing.
Since selling the business, he has served as an interim CEO, helped found the Maine Angels, and has invested in a number of start-up businesses.
Mr. Lukas holds BS and MS degrees in Electronic Engineering from MIT.
