Mr. Perkins practices in all areas of technology development and licensing, commercialization of advanced technologies, and intellectual property matters. He develops and manages multi-disciplinary strategies for his technology-based growth companies and has extensive experience in attracting equity investment, software licensing, e-commerce transactions, and e-commerce agreements. Mr. Perkins’ client base consists primarily of technology-based businesses, but also includes institutional and non-institutional financiers. Also a Bernstein Shur shareholder, Mr. Perkins chairs the firm's Intellectual Property and Technology Practice Group and is Co-Chair of the firm’s Business Law Practice Group. Mr. Perkins is a Board member of the Maine Investment Exchange and is the former Chair of the Computer Law and Internet Committee of the Maine State Bar Association. Mr. Perkins was also a member of the State of Maine’s original Blue Ribbon Internet Commission to Establish a Comprehensive Internet Policy. He is a member of the Computer Law Association and various intellectual property and technology sections of the Maine and American Bar Associations. Tony is on the Top Gun Board of Advisors and also serves as a Top Gun presenter.
