In his consulting practice, David draws on over thirty years of financial, marketing and management experience in both large corporate and small business settings.  He helps businesses meet the challenges of growth in good times and make necessary adjustments in response to economic adversity.  David has supported numerous businesses in Maine, and elsewhere in New England, on a wide variety of matters including strategic planning, capital acquisition, business valuation, purchases and sales.  During a 25 year career at UNUM, David structured and negotiated hundreds of private debt and equity transactions as large as $25 million and was responsible for problem loan restructurings and odd asset dispositions.  As a result of his efforts to develop a micro loan program in cooperation with the City of Portland, UNUM was named “Economic Developer of the Year” in 1998.  More recently, David joined two engineers to launch Raven Technology, a startup manufacturer of vehicle mounted electric generators.  The company raised over $3.0 million private capital including Development and Seed awards from MTI.  David developed the go to market strategy, executed product launch, and built a dealer/OEM network across US and Canada, generating sales at a $500,000 annual rate as well as a reputation for first rate customer service and product quality.  David graduated from Bowdoin College, has an MBA from the University of Southern Maine and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
