John founded Karp Strategic Consulting in 2005 utilizing over 15 years of engineering and technology management experience.  Previously, John worked as Engineering Manager at Navtec, a company that designs and builds mast support structure and high-pressure hydraulics for the most sophisticated sailing yachts in the world.  He also served as General Manager of Syris Scientific, a Harvard University Medical School spinout product taking Syris from a startup state into a successful multi-national medical device development and marketing concern.  John has also assisted many companies in attaining financing and has written business plans for companies up to $10 million in sales.  An avid inventor and serial entrepreneur, John also has several patents to his credit. John’s client base includes such diverse businesses as gas turbine engine developers and high temperature sensor manufacturers to high end guitar builders. His services have led clients to double revenues in as little as 16 months while building scalable structures to endure such growth and still maintaining sanity for the staffs of client companies.
