

Manager Commercialization and Cluster Support, Maine Technology Institute (MTI)
Roger Brooks joined the Maine Technology Institute in February 2008 to manage their Cluster Initiative and Commercialization Support Programs. This second program aims to advance commercialization success among MTI funded companies including helping them access outside capital. Prior to joining MTI, Roger spent more than 25 years with a variety of technology companies, including serving as CEO of Intelligent Controls, Saco, Maine, and President of Dynisco, Inc., Sharon, Mass. He is a co-founder of Exeter, N.H. based Abierto Networks, a dial-up and serial to IP solutions provider for POS and ATM payment systems, and serves as their Chairman and Treasurer. Roger also serves on several small business boards and was the lead independent director at Moldflow Corporation (MFLO), a provider of CAE software to the plastic injection molding industry, up until the time it was sold to Autodesk (ADSK) in 2008. His experience also includes private equity and he is a member of the Maine Angels network. Roger is on the Top Gun Board of Advisors and also serves as a Top Gun Mentor and a presenter.
