


BIO: As President of Züm, Amy Ireland has lead the company from its inception, taking the company’s first product zümbitz from concept and product development to market launch. Prior to founding Züm, Amy’s career has been devoted to athletics and promoting an active lifestyle. For over 20 years she has been involved in the athletic industry. From competing as a cross-country skier nationally and internationally to working in sports publishing, sales and marketing, new product development and event management, Amy’s industry knowledge and experience is extensive. Amy received her Bachelor degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder where she was a member of the varsity cross-country ski team.
COMPANY Description: Züm Sport (“Züm”) has introduced a revolutionary new snack product - zümbitz. Zümbitz don’t look or taste like anything else out there. These bite-sized nuggets combine the science of sports nutrition with the goodness of real fruit and other nutritious ingredients to provide a delicious alternative to the common energy bar. The company has completed two years of research, product development and refinement of zümbitz. A co-packer has been identified and production runs have successfully been completed. The company has also done preliminary branding, website and package design work. Zümbitz were introduced to the market in the first half of 2010 and are available in select stores in the greater Portland area.
