

Bio: Christopher Stickney is the founder and president of MTK-Technology Group, LLC. He currently flies as a B777 pilot for a major airline and works as an independent consultant in the field of aviation automation human factors. His work as a consultant has included the development, prototyping and validation of new flight procedures for flight crews transitioning into new highly automated aircraft. His work for both civilian and military flight organizations has included the physical design and function of the aircraft cockpit procedures and checklists that allow flight crews to function in complex aircraft in a safe and standard fashion. The procedures and checklists developed reflect the current state of the art in error trapping, mitigation and reduction. Mr. Stickney is a 1984 graduate from the United States Coast Guard Academy and a Distinguished Graduate of Naval Flight Training. He currently lives in Gorham with his wife Melody and their children Morgan, Timothy and Katie.
Description of Company: MTK-Technology Group is developing electronic checklists for utilities and private industries. The devices will function with the SCADA control systems and provide real-time process information to initiate and prioritize workflows. Individual worker training, reporting requirements and compliance with procedures will be tracked in real-time, verified and documented from any location. Critical updates and procedural changes can be immediately downloaded and available to each worker. The checklists will be based on each customer’s unique process, physical plant, regulatory requirements and existing culture. The creation of these procedures will be facilitated by MTK-Technology Group experts and reflect aviation “best practices” incorporating the latest state of the art error reduction and prevention strategies.
