Insightful Products, LLC was founded by Mr. Engelman to develop products to help the medical community service the geriatric population. He has many patents and has developed the Step-Smart, an ankle foot orthoses & FootFunnel, an ergonomic shoe donning device.

Ian Engelman is founder and owner of Insightful Products, LLC. He has an engineering degree from Tufts University, and has applied his knowledge to the field of Prosthetics and Orthotics. Post graduate education at Northwestern and the University of Connecticut earned him a Master’s Degree and the title of Certified Prosthetist and Orthotist. His innovative designs in ankle foot braces has afforded many patents and resulted in products used throughout the United States and Abroad. He is published in trade journals and was recognized with the Thranhardt, the most prestigious national award given in the O&P profession. After creating and selling BioMetrics, a patient care facility in Trumbull, CT, the next step was to offer his pathomechanic solution based bracing system to doctors nationwide. Insightful Products is more than a product development company, they help people walk.

Sean Morrissey, vice-president at Insightful Products, has over 16 years of entrepreneurial business management experience specifically in commercializing cutting edge technologies globally. He is a strategic business thinker and is an effective communicator who can present complex ideas to the layperson in both the written and spoken word. Being a jack of all trades, he has the ability to understand and analyze all business facets relating to product development, business development, and marketing.
