


Bio: A 30+ year Medical Technologist, Janet’s experience consists of generalist, supervisor and lead technologist roles in three hospital settings - most recently at St. Andrews Hospital in Boothbay Harbor, ME. It also includes 20 years in the Obstetrical field as manager of a fully accredited laboratory at the OB/GYN Associates in Rockport, at which time she developed the EchoHeart Fetal Doppler Probe when she was expecting her first child. She was awarded a US Patent for the EchoHeart Probe in 2002, obtained FDA approval for the device and trademarked the EchoHeart name in 2006, and was awarded the Canadian Patent for the EchoHeart Probe in 2010. Janet holds a BS in Medical Technology (ASCP) from the University of Rhode Island.
Company Description: EchoHeart, LLC, has developed the world’s first transvaginal (TV) fetal Doppler probe, a medical device that conveniently and accurately detects a fetal heart tone earlier than any other hand-held fetal Doppler device. The EchoHeart Probe is an FDA cleared exchangeable attachment to a common hand-held abdominal fetal Doppler and is used by OB/GYN Physicians, Midwives, Nurse Practitioners and other healthcare providers.
