Lynn H. Peel, Nova Ewers

Lynn H. Peel : Lynn Peel has worked in the senior care industry for nearly 12 years. She is the founder, President and lead Senior Care Advisor at Beach Glass Transitions, llc and the co-founder and Co-Director of Maine Senior Guide, llc. Her passion and motivation for creating these companies was born from her experience working face-to-face with seniors and their families in admissions and marketing roles at various senior living facilities and home care agencies. While working in admissions at one facility, she achieved 100% occupancy. In marketing at another, she doubled referral sources and subsequently doubled move-ins. At Beach Glass Transitions, Lynn has achieved a 100% client satisfaction rating reported in family surveys taken from the more than 100 families she has assisted. Lynn is a member of the Portland Area Coalition for Elder Services, the Health Care Networking Group of Southern Maine, the SMAA Long Term Care Working Group, and the Southern Maine Wellness Council. Additionally she sits on the Family Advisory Board for the International Rett Syndrome Foundation.

Nova K. Ewers : Nova joined Beach Glass Transitions, llc as our Administrative and Marketing Manager in 2009, she leads our team of Senior Care Advisors with marketing and business opportunities that have helped to double business since her hiring. Before joining BGT, Nova’s experience in senior care was of a personal nature, as she was her elderly father’s primary caregiver through the end stages of his life. Knowing firsthand what it means to a family to go through this kind of experience, Nova is passionate and savvy about the supportive and educational services provided by BGT. Combined with her prior experience in new business development she is able to point BGT in ways that both benefit caregivers and increase revenue. Nova played an integral role in creating and composing the Working Senior Care Solutions project, which provides senior care benefits through employers. Nova is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. In her personal time, she teaches creative writing to adults, and is also a US Coast Guard licensed sailboat Captain and Able Seaman.

Beach Glass Transitions, llc is a senior care consulting business, established in 2008 and based in Portland, ME. Now with offices in ME, NH, and MA, Beach Glass Transitions services families throughout much of New England to help them find and access appropriate senior care resources for their aging parents, spouses, friends, etc. Clients receive personalized, hands-on support as their Senior Care Advisor completes a medical, financial, and social profile to guide them through the entire process, ensuring they get the best possible care in place for their aging loved ones. In 2010 following a grant award by the Libra Future Fund, Beach Glass Transitions launched Working Senior Care Solutions, a benefit program for the workplace allowing employees access to services that will help them to remain productive at work while navigating the difficulties of arranging care plans for aging loved ones.
