


Bios: Norm Archer is the President and COO at Nashbox. He has worked primarily in the technology services industry, recently as VP of Sales for ESRIA, a Rich Internet Application company based in San Francisco, CA, that developed web applications for Disney, Yahoo, Boeing, the NFL, and Fidelity Investments. He worked in operational management and sales & marketing at SNAP in 2005, and previously led sales & marketing efforts for a 3PL provider and a VoIP telephony startup. He had been a consultant to Pfizer and IBM Global Services and opened the Portsmouth, N.H. branch for TEK systems, a $2B, privately held, IT solutions company.
Scott Nash is Chairman and Creative Director at Nashbox. He is one of the leading visionaries in children’s entertainment and educational media. As the founding partner of BIG BLUE DOT and Corey, McPherson & Nash, a graphic design firm, Scott developed an expertise in the branding and creative development of kid’s products and programming for the entertainment, specialty toy and children’s book markets. As a designer and illustrator, he created identities for ABC Saturday Morning, TBS, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, PBS and YTY. He has also lectured and taught at Boston University, Northeastern University, the Art Institute of Boston and most recently, the Maine College of Art.
Description of company: A Children’s media company commercializing the “Uh-Oh” character developed by Scott Nash for the National Fire Protection Association. The Company has rights to license the “Uh-Ohs” which currently reach 9-12 million kids during Fire Prevention Week held every October. The Company plans to create a children’s virtual world -- similar to the successful platforms of Webkinz and Club Penguin -- that will attract hundreds of thousands of paying subscribers aged 4 to 10. The gaming experience will teach kids the consequences of unsafe behavior through Internet games, toys and animation.
