Description of company: Zeomatrix designs and manufactures zeolite-based composite materials made from renewable materials. Zeomatrix has developed a patent pending, engineered zeolite additive formulated to control odors, as well as a patent pending novel nanofiltration membrane which can be used to produce fuels and chemicals from biomass (for which it has received NSF funding). Zeomatrix designs, engineers, and markets novel zeolite-based products for clean technology applications including: air purification, water purification, and the production of renewable energy. The products have several environmental benefits, including reduction of toxic compounds in the air, reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, and recovery of value added products from biomass. Zeolites are safe-to-handle, non-toxic powders, and the company engineers it in new ways to perform specific functions, and then sells the additive or licenses the technology to manufacturing firms. Zeomatrix also provides advanced R&D support to its strategic partners, helping them to develop innovative new products.
