FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Portland, Maine) The Maine Center for Entrepreneurial Development (MCED) is pleased to announce that its newest Top Gun Sponsor is the Maine Angels.
Since 2003, the Maine Angels have positively affected regional economic development by providing a vehicle for qualified investors to collaboratively locate, investigate and make investments in promising early-stage companies. Typically, Maine Angels collective investments range from $50,000 to $250,000 per company.
In addition to providing financial capital, where appropriate Maine Angels members also provide intellectual capital to portfolio companies, investments in companies based in Maine are often eligible for Maine's Seed Capital Tax Credit Program administered by the Financial Authority of Maine (FAME).
Top Gun teaches emerging entrepreneurs what they really need to know to manage and grow a successful growth-oriented business. The formal program runs for four months but we expect that the mentoring relationships will extend well beyond the confines of the program.
